Travel to Łódź

Łódź is located in the very center of Poland, approximately 100 km from Warsaw. Travel options include:

Flight to the Warsaw Fryderyk Chopin Airport (recommended)

Fryderyk Chopin Airport (WAW) is the largest airport in Poland. We recommend choosing this airport as your destination and travel to Łódź by train. There is train station directly at the airport, where you may take any train to Warszawa Centralna (Warsaw Central) or Warszawa Zachodnia (Warsaw West) stations. Then you should change to a train to Łódź. The main station is Łódź Fabryczna, however you also choose Łódź Kaliska (closest station to the conference venue) or Łódź Widzew (some trains stop only there). You may check the trains schedule here: https://koleo.pl/en/rozklad-pkp/warszawa-lotnisko-chopina/lodz.

In Łódź you may take a public transport to your hotel (you can buy tickets in the machines on some stops or in every vehicle) or taxi or Uber to the conference venue or your hotel.

Flight directly to Łódź

There is a small airport directly in Lodz (LCJ). This is the most convenient option, however, there is a limited number of flights and most of them do not operate daily.

From the airport as you can take a taxi, Uber or bus directly to your hotel or the conference venue.

To conference venue

Institute of Physics of Lodz University of technology is located in the southern part of the city center. We recommend choosing a hotel within a walking distance from it. If you choose an accommodation further away, there is a good public transport comprising trams and busses. Alternatively, both taxi and Uber are reliable in Łódź. We recommend ordering either Uber with the application or taxi in your hotel or using one of the following numbers: +48 42 666 44 44, +48 800 400 400, +48 800 300 200.

Parking information

If you come by car, there is a possibility of free parking (daytime only) at the university parking. However, for a free parking entry, you must contact us first.
